Christopher Robson

Chris Robson was brought up in Rothbury, Northumberland and educated locally before graduating in Economics from Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry. He joined Ryecroft Glenton, a Newcastle firm of Chartered Accountants, in 1977 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. He was appointed a Partner in 1984 since when he has been responsible for advising a wide range of clients both locally and nationally on a variety of commercial and financial issues. He became a fully qualified Independent Financial Advisor in 1997 at which point he took on additional responsibility as a Director of the firm's wholly owned subsidiary of financial advisors, Portland Financial Management Limited. He was appointed Managing Partner of Ryecroft Glenton in 2004.
He is an Honorary Trustee of Samling, a charitable organisation based in Hexham which nurtures excellence in the musical arts.
Chris was appointed a member of the Port of Tyne in July 2005.
