AIDA AIDA

The AIDAvita, with her distinctive exterior 'hull art' featuring the AIDA stylised eyes and lips returns to Port of Tyne following her maiden call in 2016. The 1,266 passenger ship will make four calls at Port of Tyne as part of the 13 night Nordic Islands & Norway and 14 night Great Britain & Ireland voyages between April and August 2017. 

 

CRUISE & MARITIME Cruise & Maritime

Offering cruises exclusively for adults, 2017 will see the Magellan depart from Port of Tyne for the Majestic Fjordlands, the Baltics and St. Petersburg and for its popular one-night taster cruises to Dundee and London.

As one of the most admired ocean liners in the world, Disney Magic will bring up to 2,700
passengers travelling in luxury aboard the unique and family friendly vessel packed with new
experiences for all.

With daily sailings between the Port of Tyne and Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) a DFDS Seaways mini cruise is a great way to enjoy a short break to Europe. Enjoy two nights on-board the ship and spend a day at your destination experiencing a new culture, history and lots of exciting attractions. 

 

FRED. OLSEN CRUISE LINES Fred. Olsen Cruise Line

With over 100 years of heritage in running passenger services from the Port of Tyne, Fred. Olsen has been operating regular cruise calls from the Port of Tyne since 2006. 

Fred. Olsen is choosing Port of Tyne for the second year running as the home port for
their flagship, Balmoral with 13 departures between May and September. As their largest
 cruise ship, with 710 rooms and suites, the Balmoral will take up to 1,350 passengers
each call to explore destinations including the Fjords and Baltics, Scandinavian Capitals,
German Waterways, Andalusia and on on a special voyage around the UK to see

HOLLAND AMERICA LINE Holland America Line

In 2017 Holland America Line will return to the Port's cruise terminal with Zuiderdam and Prinsendam. 

The Zuiderdam offers a sophisticated medium sized luxury cruise ship for 1,950
passengers. As the last stop on the 24 night Fjords, Highlands and Baltic Adventure,
Zuiderdam will call at Port of Tyne on 2 July 2017. 

As Holland America Line's most intimate ship, Prinsendam offers its 835 passengers
the feel of a classic yacht with the spaciousness of a cruise ship and will visit the Tyne
 on 10 September as the second UK stop on its 28 night Kiel Canal, Britain and
Bourgundian Explorer adventure. 

 

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE Norwegian Cruise Line

With an incredible 16 restaurants and cafes and 12 bars, Norwegian Jade visits Port of Tyne on 1 September 2017 as part of its 15 night voyage around Norway, Iceland and the UK. With a fantastic selection of excursions, the 2,402 passenger ship's guests will be able to explore the best of North East England during their stay. 

 

OCEANIA CRUISES Oceania Cruises

Two Oceania Cruise ships will call at the Port of Tyne in 2017.

Following a recent multimillion dollar refurbishment, Nautica sails into the Port of Tyne on 3 June and 12 September. With a maximum of 684 passengers, Nautica
will offer a superb itinerary that larger ships can't, and arrive for the first stop on its 12
night British Isles Medley itinerary. 

August sees a visit from Nautica's larger sister ship, Marina on her voyage to discover the
British Isles Legends. 

 

REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES Regent Seven Seas

The luxurious Seven Seas Explorer revisits the Port of Tyne for two calls in 2017. With itineraries to Discover the Isles and European Castles and Cathedrals in June and September respectively, the six star ship, aboard which there is only suite accommodation with balconies, will bring a touch of elegance and glamour along with its 738 guests. 

 

ROCK THE BOATRock the Boat

Europe's biggest Rock 'n' Roll festival at sea, Rock the Boat sails from the Port of Tyne in September 2017. 

Guests will explore the British Isles as they cruise aboard the luxurious CMV Magellan on a seven day voyage, and enjoy live performances frmo a fantastic line-up of chart topping rock stars headlined by Suzi Quatro. The full festival line-up features over 20 international and UK artists with performances from The Manfreds, Slade, The Yardbirds and many more classic nostalgic acts throughout the week. 

 

SAGA CRUISES Saga

With up to 720 passengers on board, the Saga Sapphire offers its guests a welcoming, informal atmosphere, while offering a surprising array of features such as its on board Beach Club and crazy golf course. The ship will visit on 20 June during its 18 night Faroes and Land of Ice and Fire itinerary. 

Whilst smaller than the Sapphire, her sister ship, the Saga Pearl II offers its guests a relaxed and sociable
atmosphere, offering its 449 passengers a variety of facilities including fine dining, a spa and two swimming
 pools on the modern, yacht-like ship. 

 

THOMSON CRUISES Thomson Cruises

Thomson Cruises are re-introducing cruising from the UK, choosing the Port of Tyne as their only UK port for the season.

With ten new itineraries and a range of durations from four to 14 nights, Thomson Celebration will visit key ports in the Norwegian Fjords, Scandinavia
and the Baltics, including Copenhagen, St. Petersburg and Reykjavik.
