  • The World’s 2011 itinerary includes visits to 53 countries chosen by the residents for their individuality, in June the ship is visiting London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand and Oslo.

  • The first of the season’s cruise ships arrives at the Port of Tyne’s International Passenger Terminal this week, bringing 400 visitors to a warm North East welcome.The sleek, 160m long “Athena” is due early on Thursday and will stay for the day, allowing passenger’s time to sample the highlights of the region.
