The Port of Tyne is joining ports and tourist attractions from all over the globe at Seatrade Europe (24 - 26 September), where the world's leading cruise lines will gather to explore new destinations and decide cruise itineraries.

The Port of Tyne continues to be a popular choice for cruise lines, with its great connectivity and International Passenger Terminal, providing easy access to Norway and the Fjords, Iceland, the Faroes, Northern Europe, Round Britain, the Baltics and the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Madeira, Lanzarote and Grand Canaria).

Steven Harrison, Port of Tyne Chief Operating Officer, said: "Seatrade Europe provides the perfect opportunity to network and develop business opportunities. And our commercial and marketing teams will be working hard to bring more cruise ships to the Tyne."

Last year the Port of Tyne was named UK's Best Port of Call, its thriving cruise portfolio combined with its daily passenger ferry service see 600,000 passengers use the International Passenger Terminal each year.
