A strong partnership of representatives from Invest Newcastle, private sector businesses and Newcastle City Council will be showcasing Newcastle's investment offering and demonstrating their collective ambition at this year's MIPIM Cannes.

As one of the few new exhibitors at MIPIM, Newcastle will bring a fresh portfolio of opportunities to the international audience and demonstrate the strong partnership working between the public and private sectors in North East England.

The private sector partners who will be attending MIPIM to represent Newcastle are:
Highbridge Properties
Faulknerbrowns Architects
Adderstone Group
NE1 Limited
Port of Tyne
Quorum Business Park
Ryder Architecture
UK Land Estates
Arch - The Northumberland Development Company
Newcastle Science Central
The Hanro Group

Catherine Walker, Inward Investment Director at Invest Newcastle, said: "We're delighted to be attending MIPIM this year and to be joined by leading North East businesses, operating in the property and development industry.

"Over the past twelve months we've seen increasing interest, and a rise in confidence, in the regional markets as the opportunities for investment and development returns. It is therefore an important time for Newcastle to have a presence at MIPIM in order to secure new investment - supporting the growth of the city and allowing us to meet the demand from our high growth business sectors.

"We have a track record of our public and private sectors working together to deliver solutions that provide strong returns for developers and occupiers, and we look forward to discussing opportunities with them at the show."

Newcastle is a core city of the Northern Powerhouse and boasts key development sites across the city centre and the wider region, including 80 hectares in the Accelerated Development Zone and 70 hectares of Enterprise Zones. In addition the North East's thriving economy, competitive prices and fantastic quality of life, provide a strong draw for developers and corporate occupiers.

Nolan Gray, Business Development Director at the Port of Tyne, said: "Attendance at MIPIM is really important if Tyneside and the wider North East region are to benefit from inward investment.

"Through working with Invest Newcastle the Port of Tyne is able to combine resources and market the potential of our offer which includes large development sites on both banks of the River Tyne with access to the Port of Tyne's support services."

Ben Sykes, Partner at FaulknerBrowns Architects, said: "MIPIM is always a key event in our calendar as it provides a valuable opportunity to engage with real estate and property professionals and discuss their upcoming opportunities and challenges. This year we are excited to be a part of the Invest Newcastle initiative as it provides an opportunity to promote the fantastic investment opportunities that are emerging in the North East of England."

Situated on the beachfront at MIPIM Cannes, the Invest Newcastle stand will be located in the Croisette Suites (C19.A).
