Tyne View by Port of Tyne Writer in Residence
Though the project is focued on writing rather than pictures
I am interested in receiving photos if they spark off particular memories, or even move people to write stories or poems at greater length.
Please send me the images that mean a lot to you and write to explain why - or indeed anything else that they might suggest to you.

Here is a photo of my mini cruise to Norway. I went with a friend and I am the ‘Old lady' with specs, here with the First mate. A mere lad!
I had asked at Reception if it would be possible to visit the bridge as I had worked on the boats years ago, They rang up and Voila here I am!!!
It was very posh and a lot bigger than our cabin! The wheel was tiny and the mate just left it to walk around. Not like the huge wooden ships wheels.
The trip was great and we were blessed with brilliant weather so were able to sunbathe on deck.
Coming back home sailing into the Tyne is something else. You feel like Royalty. I took lots of photos of familiar places and on one in particular the "Dot" standing on the Fish quay was my son who had gone along to watch the boat sailing in.
