From 300,000 vehicles to over 600,000 in five years, the Port of Tyne's car business has been accelerating fast.

And these are not just straight imports and exports; thanks to regular ship calls, excellent facilities and flexible service, the Port continues to build on its reputation as a high-quality hub terminal.

Operating three car terminals - Tyne Distribution Centre on the north side of the river Tyne, Tyne Car Terminal on the south side and the Hoegh Northern Terminal on the south of the river  - handling many of the world's major brands, the port also tranships high and heavy equipment worldwide.
