Erin Kinnee
Accenture
Earlier this year, Accenture released the 2020 Technology Vision, its annual thought leadership report that identifies emerging technology trends that will impact businesses in coming years. While each of these trends remains relevant and urgent in today’s environment, COVID-19 has undeniably altered, complicated, and accelerated them. In light of this, Accenture has created an update to the 2020 Technology Vision, “Driving Value and Values During COVID-19.”

In many ways, the pandemic is amplifying technology innovation, and every one of this year’s trends has been impacted by this. As enterprises attempt to outmanoeuvre today’s uncertainty, they are deploying new technologies and inventing new solutions faster than ever. But in this rush to accelerate, they must also think long-term. The 2020 Technology Vision report explored the growing disparity between enterprise value and people’s values, and the pandemic does not overshadow this issue—it exacerbates it. Today’s challenges are two-fold: enterprises must overcome the business disruption of COVID-19, and they must realign with people to open new opportunities for the future.

Driving Value and Values During COVID-19 revisits each of our trends, from a short-term and long-term perspective, and outlines the impact they will have on people and business in a post-COVID world. Join us for an introduction and discussion of this report and the strategic opportunities and imperatives these trends continue to represent.
