DFDS - THE WORLD'S LEADING FERRY OPERATOR

Please note the Port of Tyne cannot answer individual queries regarding your booking - please contact DFDS direct.

DFDS, the world's leading ferry operator, operates a daily service between the Port of Tyne International Passenger Terminal at North Shields and Ijmuiden, near Amsterdam since 1995.

Their overnight crossing between Newcastle and Amsterdam operates daily. Passengers will find plenty to do on board with bars, restaurants, a well-stocked shop, cinema, casino, children’s play area and arcade games. And as bookings include a private en suite cabin, you can enjoy a night out onboard and retire to your cosy cabin to sleep, arriving refreshed next morning.

DFDS offer mini cruises to Amsterdam, ranging from 2-5 days, so passengers can enjoy a city break to the Dutch capital. They also offer ferry crossings so you can take your car and explore the continent. There’s no luggage restrictions either, so you can take as much as you like and bring back all the souvenirs you pick up on your continental holiday.
