OVERVIEW

It is our pleasure to offer a warm welcome to the Port of Tyne and North East England.

Whether you're starting your holiday, just popping in, arriving home or setting off on a big adventure, we want you to have a great experience with us.

Our excellent facilities make everything easy - from parking at the Port to spending time in the terminal, and our friendly team are on hand to look after your every need, from free WiFi to visitor information to help you make the most of your time in our beautiful region.

The Port is just nine miles from the lively and vibrant city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, with its thriving shopping, dining, bars and nightlife. A powerhouse for arts and culture, you can see it on the grandest scale from the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art to the state-of-the-art music venue, Sage Gateshead.

Going beyond Newcastle, our main transport links give you easy access to endless miles of country, coastline and major cities. From Durham's world famous Cathedral and Castle to the wild landscapes of Hadrian's Wall and the unspoilt coastlines of Northumberland.

As a central hub with connections to five continents, we have a variety of cruises leaving the Port with Marella Cruises, Fred. Olsen and Cruise and Maritime Voyages in addition to the daily ferry service to Amsterdam from DFDS.
