PORT OF TYNE SUPPORTS MEADOW WELL CONNECTED HOLIDAY ACTIVITY AND AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Port of Tyne gives its support to Meadow Well Connected kids club
Meadow Well Connected in North Shields which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year is delighted to announce that the Port of Tyne will be adding its support to their Connected Kids Club.
The Connected Kids Club has been operating for over six years, offering an affordable after school club open Monday to Thursday during term time for children aged 8 - 13 years.
The Club aims to help each child realise their potential through fun activities and cultural trips, homework help, sports activities, cookery and meeting new friends.
The support from the Port of Tyne will enable Meadow Well Connected to enhance the Club and offer more trips, activities and catering during the Easter, summer and October school holidays.
Mandi Cresswell, Chief Officer at Meadow Well Connected said: “Every year we struggle to provide enough holiday activities but we always have a high demand from local families, particularly those who are working.
“The support from the Port of Tyne will make a positive impact, enriching the lives of over 100 disadvantaged children and young people in North Tyneside.”
Matt Beeton, Chief Executive Officer, Port of Tyne said: “The Port of Tyne is delighted to support Meadow Well Connected, to deliver an enriched programme of activities supporting families and children in the heart of our operating area at North Tyneside enabling them to thrive.”
