Farne Islands

Find the scenic Farne Islands a couple of miles off the coast of Seahouses, declared by Sir David Attenborough as his favourite place in the UK to see nature at its best.

Once home to St Cuthbert, The National Trust now looks after the rocky islands, offering unrivalled views of nature and British wildlife. A place of outstanding natural beauty, a boat trip provides a great way to see the islands up close with over 23 species of seabirds including razorbills, guillemots and colourful puffins calling the islands home. The islands also have the largest breeding seal colony in England with over 1,000 pups born every autumn.
